Baby and his Mommy

I have a new appreciation of babies and their mommy's. When I am doing photo shoots I attempt to capture a connection between the parents and children. I typically give little direction. I simply encourage the mommys to just engage naturally with their child, and the relationship unfolds before the camera. And it's funny how most of the time, the baby falls asleep right in the mother's arms in the middle of the shoot. This lets me know that I have captured real interactions that are organic, as the child is at ease with the entire scenario at hand. Also, I just love knowing that the child is comfortable during their time with me as well.

Alex's Post

Today I'm sharing my blog with my little sister Alex, aka my "mini me". She's 15 years old. She grabbed my camera for the first time ever and she didn't put it down for hours. She did a ton of shots of me and the girls. So all of these shots are hers. She captured me loving (and spoiling) them as much as they deserve.
